Stephen Pushkin

At last the memories and voices from the past. Echoes from the world of those courageous families who travelled across continents to start a new life in England. Many to live in slums and face a daily grinding poverty… Stories of penniless Jewish immigrants who flocked to the East End of London, most from Eastern Europe. Family members who worked hard, many starting their own businesses. Some, like the sons of Olga & Isaac Winogradsky, flourished and succeeded beyond their family’s wildest dreams.

Many used England as a staging post on their way to seek their fortunes in the United States of America. Some thought they had already arrived in the USA

Our interviewees enlighten the viewing public about the positive Jewish influence that benefits everyone.
